Sundance Wicks, Wyoming Cowboy Basketball 2026-2027 Media Day 10.19.26
- Wyoming head basketball coach Sundance Wicks spoke at the Cowboys' 2026-27 media day, saying his team's first exhibition outing in Gillette impressed him but a later showing against TCU in Midland, Texas, revealed a different, more timid team.
- Wicks said he is still searching for the right lineup combinations and wants more consistency from returners, while praising Parker Garrett's leadership and Madden Smiley's defense.
- He described a demanding coaching style built on treating players like working professionals, and asked Cowboy fans to fill the Arena Auditorium, saying a loud home crowd is worth points.
- Wicks said the team's goal is to become the best version of itself, with winning a championship and reaching the tournament as the bar.
