Gordon and Barrasso focus on sustainability of Rural Health Transformation Program
- Wyoming officials announced the first recipients of the new Wyoming Rural Health Transformation Program at a Friday press conference at the state Capitol in Cheyenne.
- The program's four goals — emergency medical care, rural workforce, technology and healthy lifestyles — account for $203.6 million of the $205 million the state received from the federal government.
- Gov. Mark Gordon, Sen. John Barrasso and Health Director Stefan Johansson said the money is meant to address access to primary care, emergency services and OB-GYN deserts and to build a sustainable rural healthcare system.
