Gift Establishes UW Professor of Wildlife Conservation
- Wyoming rancher and conservationist Bob Model has given $1 million to the University of Wyoming, doubled to $2 million with state matching, to establish the Boone and Crockett Club Professor of Working Lands Wildlife Conservation.
- The new position will lead research on working-lands wildlife conservation and serve as founding leader of a future UW Center for Wildlife and Working Lands in the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources.
- UW leaders say the gift builds on the university's land-grant mission and its partnerships with ranchers, agencies and conservation groups across Wyoming and the West.
