HISTORY MADE: COWBOY JOE CLUB AUCTION SURPASSES $1 MILLION FOR FIRST TIME
- The University of Wyoming's Cowboy Joe Club raised a record $1,042,231 at its 40th annual auction, surpassing $1 million for the first time in the event's four-decade history.
- The sold-out Oct. 16 event at War Memorial Fieldhouse drew nearly 800 supporters and shattered last year's roughly $642,000 total, an increase of more than 62 percent.
- Athletics officials say the money will support scholarships, nutrition, academic services and mental health resources for more than 400 Cowboy and Cowgirl student-athletes.
