Cape Coral families finding support as Thrive Academy expands autism programs
- Thrive Academy, a private Cape Coral school for students on the autism spectrum, celebrated the completion of its expanded campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 20.
- The renovated building increases enrollment capacity and adds space for applied behavior analysis, occupational therapy and community programs, and now serves students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Organizers say the expansion responds to growing demand for specialized autism education and therapy in Southwest Florida, where the CDC estimates about 1 in 31 U.S. children is diagnosed with autism.
