Chandler's Latino Leaders Program aims to inspire the next generation
- Students in Chandler questioned U.S. Sen. Ruben Gallego and Arizona Supreme Court Justice Maria Elena Cruz as part of the city's Latino Leaders Program during Hispanic Heritage Month.
- The program, a partnership between the City of Chandler and Chandler Unified School District, has grown from 150 students at one school in 2022 to more than 660 students at 10 schools.
- Students said hearing from leaders who share their background inspired them and gave them advice they will carry forward, whether or not they pursue politics or law.
