Ahwatukee Interior designer’s nonprofit connects ‘haves’ and ‘needs’
- Ahwatukee interior designer Claudia Dabdoub has launched 1to1WiSh, a nonprofit that connects people who have something to give with those who need it.
- The idea grew from 35 years in kitchen and cabinetry design, where she watched usable cabinets, appliances and light fixtures go into dumpsters on demolition day.
- The organization received nonprofit status in 2021 and became operational this year; participants post needs or offers on its website, and each submission is reviewed before it appears publicly.
- Dabdoub hopes more Ahwatukee residents will take part as the holidays approach, though she says the group cannot promise every wish will be granted.
