CMU Expands Art Walk Through Partnership with Downtown Grand Junction
- Colorado Mesa University has expanded its Campus Art Walk through a new partnership with the Grand Junction Downtown Development Authority and its Art on the Corner program.
- The first five DDA-procured statues were installed on campus on Oct. 2, and three student works went up the same day along Downtown Main Street.
- The walk stretches from the Moss Performing Arts Center to Asteria Theatre, with a new maverick bull statue named "Duster" in the Formation District roundabout.
- University and downtown officials say the partnership brings public art to shared spaces and gives CMU students new opportunities.
