Arcade takes GJ back in time
- Robert Trevino opened Joystick Junction, a retro arcade with more than 30 video-game and pinball machines, on Oct. 16 at 2889 North Ave., Unit 8, in Grand Junction.
- The arcade offers unlimited play on its video games for $12 a day, while pinball machines cost 75 cents per game.
- Trevino, who moved to Grand Junction about a year-and-a-half ago, said he saw the Grand Valley lacked a retro arcade like the one he grew up with in Houston.
- He said opening weekend drew 50-plus people on Friday and 100-plus the next day, and the following weekend was even busier.
