Ramona seniors socialize while scooting through town
- A group of residents at Ramona Terrace Community in Ramona has turned mobility-scooter rides into a twice-weekly social tradition.
- Dan Cordeau started riding his scooter through the park around 2024, and neighbors soon joined; he now refurbishes used scooters, often ones needing new batteries, so others can ride too.
- About 18 to 20 residents meet Wednesday and Sunday evenings for hour-long rides with music, conversation and holiday decorations.
- Residents say the outings offer friendship, fresh air and a break from daily chores.
