City College student facilitates partnership with downtown hostel to help housing-insecure students
- A San Diego City College student club has arranged a first-of-its-kind partnership with a downtown hostel to house housing-insecure students.
- Students for Housing Justice member Maria Rebollar, who works at Stay Classy San Diego, proposed the deal to owner Brandon Key; it offers City students temporary lodging for $23-35 a night.
- Thirteen beds will be available in November, and the club hopes the low-cost option reaches students facing homelessness and housing insecurity.
