SDSU gets commitment from second African center in as many days
- San Diego State received a commitment Monday from 6-foot-11 center Mahamadou Diop of Mali, one day after landing fellow African big man Precious Sam of Ghana.
- Diop is a four-star, top-100 prospect who spent four years at San Gabriel Academy near Pasadena and chose the Aztecs over offers from power-conference programs including Oregon and TCU.
- The two commitments address a thin SDSU frontcourt, where only one player taller than 6-8 is eligible to return next season.
